Guardian Digital Store Policies

Guardian Digital Order Change and Return Policy

Guardian Digital provides our EnGarde Community Edition, which is a full-featured developer version and provides an indication of the features and benefits for all prospective customers of our commercial software products. We encourage you to test drive these products prior to purchase, so that you can evaluate whether the products are suitable for your needs.

All orders including but not limited online orders may be subject to the following conditions:

Support Services/GDSN Subscription Agreements

Term. The term of this agreement shall be for the duration of all Services provided under this Agreement. The initial term for the Services shall commence on the Effective Date of this Agreement and shall continue for a period of one (1) year unless a different term is specified by the parties at the time of purchase. Thereafter, the term for Services shall renew (via original payment method automatically) for successive terms of one (1) year each unless a different term is agreed to by the parties at the time of renewal and unless either party gives written notice to the other of its intention not to renew at least sixty (60) days prior to the commencement of the next term; provided, however, Customer shall have the right to terminate this Agreement at any time after the first year by giving sixty (60) days prior written notice of termination to Guardian Digital,Inc. Customer shall remain obligated for all fees through the date of termination.

Return Policy for Packaged Products

You may return any unopened package for full credit (less shipping, handling, and restocking fees). Returns of packaged products are subject to a restocking fee of US$15 per box. You may return any defective materials for an exchange within 30 days of original shipment of your order. You may also return or exchange packaged software in those unusual cases in which we have made errors in processing your order. There is no shipping and handling charge or restocking fee for returns of defective materials or processing errors. Non-defective, opened packages cannot be returned.
Please read the instructions below to ensure your return can be exchanged or credited:

Unopened Merchandise

Email Guardian Digital Customer Service at customer.service@guardiandigital.com to request a Return Authorization number (RMA) and further instructions. You must email us to receive an RMA and the product must be returned to Guardian Digital within 30 days of the shipping date of your order to receive credit for your return. Please provide us with the following information in your email:
  • Order number/Invoice number
  • The name of the Guardian Digital product you are returning
  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Reason for return
You are responsible for the original shipping costs, restocking fee, and return postage. Guardian Digital cannot accept returns shipped via C.O.D.

Defective Merchandise

If your product has defective disks or other materials, you can exchange it for the same item by returning it to us within 30 days of the shipping date of your order. Email Guardian Digital Customer Service at customer.service@guardiandigital.com to request a Return Authorization number (RMA) and further instructions. Note that you will need your original invoice for defective product exchanges. Please provide us with the following information in your email:
  • Order number/Invoice number
  • The name of the Guardian Digital product you are returning
  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Reason for return
Guardian Digital will pay for the return postage and the cost to ship a replacement. Guardian Digital cannot accept returns shipped via C.O.D.

Opened Merchandise

Guardian Digital will not accept opened, non-defective software as a return. No credit will be issued.

Processing Errors

Guardian Digital will provide returns or exchanges in cases where we have made errors in processing your order. You should notify Guardian Digital of any errors within 30 days of the original ship date for your order. Please email Guardian Digital Customer Service to request a Return Authorization Number (RMA) and further instructions. If possible, please include your original invoice with the return. You should provide us with the following information in your email:

  • Order number/Invoice number
  • The name of the Guardian Digital product you are returning
  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Reason for return Guardian Digital will pay for the original shipping costs and return postage.

Guardian Digital cannot accept returns shipped via C.O.D. Returning Merchandise & RMA Number Instructions Please put the RMA number on the outside of the package you are sending to Guardian Digital. Use the number you received from Guardian Digital Customer Service. Guardian Digital cannot accept any items returned without an RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the returned package.

Crediting Your Account

Please allow 15-20 business days for credit to appear on your credit card. Please note that some credit card companies will not reflect the credit on your statement for up to 30 days.

Shipping charges incurred at the time of purchase and return are not refundable for returns of unopened, non-defective merchandise. Guardian Digital will refund the return postage and the cost to ship a replacement for defective merchandise or returns/exchanges due to Guardian Digital processing errors.
